Ingredients

1 cup semi-sweet chocolate chips

1/2 cup creamy peanut butter

1/4 cup powdered sugar

1/2 teaspoon vanilla extract

Sea salt (for sprinkling)

Instructions

Melt the Chocolate: In a microwave-safe bowl, add the semi-sweet chocolate chips. Microwave in 30-second intervals, stirring in between, until fully melted and smooth. Be careful not to overheat.

Prepare the Muffin Tin: Line a muffin tin with cupcake liners or silicone molds.

Create the Chocolate Layer: Using a spoon, pour a small amount of the melted chocolate into the bottom of each cupcake liner, just enough to cover it. Use the back of the spoon to spread the chocolate evenly. Place the muffin tin in the refrigerator for about 10 minutes to set.

Make the Peanut Butter Filling: In a mixing bowl, combine the creamy peanut butter, powdered sugar, and vanilla extract. Stir until the mixture is well combined and smooth.

Assemble the Cups: Remove the muffin tin from the refrigerator. Place a spoonful of the peanut butter mixture on top of the chocolate layer in each liner. Gently press it down.

Top with More Chocolate: Once all the peanut butter filling is in place, pour the remaining melted chocolate on top of the peanut butter layer, making sure it’s completely covered.

Sprinkle with Sea Salt: Before the chocolate sets, sprinkle a small pinch of sea salt on top of each cup for an extra flavor kick.

Chill & Enjoy: Return the muffin tin to the refrigerator for another 20-30 minutes or until the chocolate has completely hardened. Once set, peel away the liners and enjoy your homemade chocolate peanut butter cups!
