Ingredients

1 cup milk chocolate chips

1 cup creamy peanut butter (divided)

1/4 cup powdered sugar

1 teaspoon vanilla extract

12 mini muffin liners

Instructions

Melt the Chocolate: In a microwave-safe bowl, add the milk chocolate chips. Microwave in 30-second intervals, stirring in between, until fully melted and smooth.

Prepare the Muffin Liners: Place mini muffin liners into a muffin tin to hold the cups. This will make removing them later a breeze!

First Layer of Chocolate: Using a spoon, add about 1 tablespoon of melted chocolate to the bottom of each liner. Use the back of the spoon to spread it evenly. Place the muffin tin in the freezer for about 10 minutes to harden.

Make the Filling: In a medium bowl, mix the remaining peanut butter, powdered sugar, and vanilla extract until well combined and smooth.

Fill with Peanut Butter Mixture: Remove the muffin tin from the freezer. Carefully add a tablespoon of the peanut butter mixture on top of the hardened chocolate in each liner, smoothing it out.

Top with Chocolate: Pour another tablespoon of melted chocolate over the peanut butter filling in each liner, covering it completely. Return the muffin tin to the freezer for an additional 15-20 minutes until completely set.

Serve and Enjoy: Once set, carefully peel off the liners and indulge in your homemade chocolate peanut butter cups! Store any leftovers in an airtight container in the fridge.
