Ingredients

1 pound ground beef

1 medium onion, finely chopped

2 cloves garlic, minced

1 cup breadcrumbs

1 large egg

1 teaspoon Worcestershire sauce

1 teaspoon salt

1/2 teaspoon black pepper

1 cup beef broth

1 cup cream of mushroom soup

2 cups frozen mixed vegetables (peas, carrots, corn)

1 cup shredded cheddar cheese

1 tablespoon olive oil

Fresh parsley, chopped (for garnish)

Instructions

Preheat Oven: Preheat your oven to 375°F (190°C).

Prepare the Beef Mixture: In a large mixing bowl, combine ground beef, chopped onion, minced garlic, breadcrumbs, egg, Worcestershire sauce, salt, and black pepper. Mix well until fully combined.

Shape Patties: Form the beef mixture into individual steak patties, about 1/2 inch thick. Set aside.

Sear the Patties: In a large skillet, heat olive oil over medium heat. Add the patties and sear for 3-4 minutes on each side until browned. Remove from skillet and set aside on a plate.

Create the Sauce: In the same skillet, pour in the beef broth and cream of mushroom soup. Stir well to combine and bring to a gentle simmer.

Layer the Casserole: In a greased 9x13-inch baking dish, spread the frozen mixed vegetables evenly at the bottom. Arrange the seared hamburger patties on top of the vegetables.

Add the Sauce: Pour the beef broth and mushroom soup mixture over the patties, ensuring they are well covered.

Top with Cheese: Sprinkle the shredded cheddar cheese evenly over the top of the casserole.

Bake: Cover the baking dish with foil and bake in the preheated oven for 30 minutes. Remove the foil and bake for an additional 15 minutes, or until the cheese is bubbly and lightly golden.

Garnish and Serve: Let it cool for 5 minutes before garnishing with fresh parsley. Serve warm with your favorite sides.
