Ingredients

1 pound ground beef (80% lean)

1/2 cup breadcrumbs

1/4 cup grated Parmesan cheese

1/4 cup finely chopped onion

1 egg

1 tablespoon Worcestershire sauce

1 teaspoon garlic powder

1 teaspoon salt

1/2 teaspoon black pepper

2 cups beef broth

1 cup sliced mushrooms (optional)

2 tablespoons vegetable oil for frying

Fresh parsley for garnish

Instructions

In a large mixing bowl, combine the ground beef, breadcrumbs, Parmesan cheese, chopped onion, egg, Worcestershire sauce, garlic powder, salt, and black pepper. Mix until well combined.

Shape the mixture into 4 equally sized patties.

In a large skillet, heat the vegetable oil over medium heat. Add the patties and cook for about 5-7 minutes on each side, or until nicely browned and cooked through.

Once the meat patties are cooked, remove them from the skillet and set aside.

In the same skillet, add the sliced mushrooms (if using) and sauté for about 3-4 minutes, until softened.

Pour in the beef broth, scraping up any browned bits from the bottom of the skillet. Bring to a gentle simmer.

Return the patties to the skillet, cover, and simmer for an additional 10 minutes, allowing the meat to soak up the broth and flavors.

Once done, remove from heat and let it rest for a few minutes. Serve hot, garnished with fresh parsley.
