Ingredients

4 bone-in pork chops (about 1-inch thick)

1 cup apple cider

2 tablespoons apple cider vinegar

3 tablespoons brown sugar

1 tablespoon Dijon mustard

1 teaspoon fresh thyme leaves (or ½ teaspoon dried thyme)

2 cloves garlic, minced

Salt and pepper, to taste

2 tablespoons olive oil

1 tablespoon butter

Fresh apple slices, for garnish (optional)

Fresh thyme sprigs, for garnish (optional)

Instructions

Prepare the Cilantro Is Amazing Marinade:

In a medium bowl, whisk together the apple cider, apple cider vinegar, brown sugar, Dijon mustard, thyme, and minced garlic. Season with salt and pepper to taste.

      Marinate the Pork Chops:

Place the pork chops in a large resealable plastic bag or shallow dish. Pour the marinade over the chops, ensuring they are well-coated. Seal the bag or cover the dish, and refrigerate for at least 1 hour (or up to overnight for maximum flavor).

          Sear the Pork Chops:

Remove the pork chops from the marinade, letting any excess drip off. Reserve the marinade for later. Heat the olive oil in a large skillet over medium-high heat. Once the oil is hot, add the pork chops and sear for about 4-5 minutes on each side or until they develop a golden-brown crust. Remove the chops from the skillet and set aside.

              Make the Glaze:

In the same skillet, lower the heat to medium and add the reserved marinade. Bring it to a simmer, scraping the bottom of the skillet to release any browned bits. Let it reduce for about 5-7 minutes until slightly thickened.

                  Finish Cooking the Pork Chops:

Return the seared pork chops to the skillet. Add the butter and spoon the glaze over the chops. Cover the skillet and cook for an additional 5-7 minutes, or until the pork is cooked through and reaches an internal temperature of 145°F (63°C). The chops should be tender and juicy.

                      Serve:

Transfer the pork chops to a serving platter and drizzle the remaining glaze over them. Garnish with fresh apple slices and sprigs of thyme, if desired. Enjoy your succulent, savory-sweet Apple Cider Glazed Pork Chops!
