Ingredients

1 cup all-purpose flour

1/3 cup granulated sugar

1 tsp baking powder

1/4 tsp baking soda

1/4 tsp salt

1/2 tsp ground cinnamon

1 large egg

1/2 cup buttermilk (or milk mixed with 1/2 tsp vinegar)

1/4 cup unsalted butter, melted

1 tsp vanilla extract

1 cup fresh or frozen blueberries

Optional: Powdered sugar for dusting

Instructions

Preheat the Oven: Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C) and lightly grease a donut pan with cooking spray or butter.

Combine Dry Ingredients: In a large mixing bowl, whisk together the flour, sugar, baking powder, baking soda, salt, and cinnamon until well combined.

Mix Wet Ingredients: In a separate bowl, beat the egg, then add the buttermilk, melted butter, and vanilla extract. Mix until smooth.

Combine Mixtures: Pour the wet ingredients into the dry ingredients, mixing gently until just combined. Be careful not to overmix.

Fold in Blueberries: Gently fold in the blueberries until evenly distributed throughout the batter.

Fill the Pan: Spoon the batter into the prepared donut pan, filling each cavity about 2/3 full.

Bake Donuts: Bake in the preheated oven for 10-12 minutes, or until a toothpick inserted into the center of a donut comes out clean and the tops are lightly golden.

Cool and Serve: Allow the donuts to cool in the pan for 5 minutes before transferring them to a wire rack. Serve warm or dust with powdered sugar if desired.
