Ingredients

4 salmon fillets (6 ounces each)

1 bunch of asparagus (about 1 pound), trimmed

4 tablespoons unsalted butter, melted

4 cloves garlic, minced

Juice of 1 large lemon

Zest of 1 lemon

1 teaspoon dried thyme

1 teaspoon salt

½ teaspoon black pepper

Fresh parsley, chopped (for garnish)

Lemon wedges (for serving)

Aluminum foil

Instructions

Preheat the Oven: Preheat your oven to 400°F (200°C).

Prepare the Foil: Cut 4 large pieces of aluminum foil (about 12x16 inches each). Lay them out on a flat surface.

Arrange Asparagus: In the center of each piece of foil, place an equal amount of asparagus. Drizzle with a little olive oil and sprinkle with salt and pepper.

Prepare the Salmon: Place a salmon fillet on top of the asparagus in each foil packet.

Make the Lemon Garlic Butter: In a small bowl, whisk together the melted butter, minced garlic, lemon juice, lemon zest, dried thyme, salt, and black pepper.

Pour the Sauce: Spoon the lemon garlic butter sauce evenly over the salmon and asparagus.

Seal the Foil Packs: Bring the edges of the foil together to create a sealed packet, ensuring that it is tightly closed to trap the steam while baking.

Bake: Place the foil packets on a baking sheet and bake in the preheated oven for 15-20 minutes, or until the salmon is cooked through and flakes easily with a fork.

Serve: Carefully open the foil packets (watch out for steam!). Transfer the salmon and asparagus to plates, spooning any remaining sauce over the top. Garnish with fresh parsley and serve with lemon wedges on the side.
