Ingredients

4 salmon fillets (6 oz each)

1/2 cup soy sauce (low sodium)

1/4 cup honey

2 tablespoons rice vinegar

1 tablespoon sesame oil

2 cloves garlic, minced

1 teaspoon fresh ginger, grated

1 teaspoon cornstarch mixed with 1 tablespoon water

2 green onions, chopped (for garnish)

1 tablespoon sesame seeds (for garnish)

Cooked rice and steamed broccoli (for serving)

Instructions

Preheat the Oven: Preheat your oven to 400°F (200°C).

Make the Teriyaki Sauce: In a small saucepan over medium heat, combine soy sauce, honey, rice vinegar, sesame oil, garlic, and ginger. Stir well and bring to a simmer.

Thicken the Sauce: Once simmering, add the cornstarch mixture while stirring continuously. Cook for an additional 2-3 minutes until the sauce thickens slightly. Remove from heat and set aside.

Prepare the Salmon: Line a baking dish with parchment paper or lightly grease it to prevent sticking. Place the salmon fillets, skin side down, in the dish.

Glaze the Salmon: Pour half of the teriyaki sauce over the salmon fillets, ensuring they are well coated.

Bake: Place the baking dish in the preheated oven and bake for 15-20 minutes, or until the salmon flakes easily with a fork and is cooked to your desired doneness.

Broil for Extra Flavor: (Optional) For a nice finish, turn on the broiler for the last 2-3 minutes of cooking. Keep an eye on it to avoid burning.

Serve: Remove from the oven and drizzle the remaining teriyaki sauce over the baked salmon. Garnish with chopped green onions and sesame seeds.

Plate: Serve the salmon hot with a side of cooked rice and steamed broccoli for a complete meal.
