Ingredients

4 salmon fillets (6 ounces each)

1/4 cup balsamic vinegar

2 tablespoons honey

2 tablespoons soy sauce

2 cloves garlic, minced

1 tablespoon Dijon mustard

1 tablespoon olive oil

Salt and pepper, to taste

Fresh rosemary or thyme sprigs for garnish

Lemon wedges, for serving

Instructions

Prepare the Marinade: In a small bowl, whisk together the balsamic vinegar, honey, soy sauce, minced garlic, Dijon mustard, and olive oil until well combined.

Marinate the Salmon: Place the salmon fillets in a shallow dish or a resealable plastic bag, and pour the marinade over them. Allow the salmon to marinate for at least 30 minutes at room temperature or up to 2 hours in the refrigerator for deeper flavor.

Preheat the Oven: Preheat your oven to 400°F (200°C).

Bake the Salmon: Line a baking sheet with parchment paper or lightly grease it. Remove the salmon from the marinade, letting the excess drip off. Place the fillets skin-side down on the prepared baking sheet. Sprinkle with salt and pepper.

Glaze the Salmon: Brush the remaining marinade over the salmon fillets, ensuring they are evenly coated.

Cook: Bake the salmon in the preheated oven for 12-15 minutes, or until the fish flakes easily with a fork. You can turn on the broiler for the last 2-3 minutes to caramelize the glaze further, but watch closely to avoid burning.

Serve: Remove the salmon from the oven and drizzle with any leftover marinade from the baking sheet. Garnish with fresh rosemary or thyme sprigs and serve with lemon wedges.
