Ingredients

8 chicken drumsticks

1 cup BBQ sauce (your favorite type)

2 tbsp honey

2 tbsp Dijon mustard

1 tbsp apple cider vinegar

1 tsp smoked paprika

1 tsp garlic powder

1 tsp onion powder

½ tsp cayenne pepper (optional, for heat)

Salt and black pepper to taste

Fresh parsley, chopped (for garnish)

Instructions

Preparation: Preheat your grill to medium-high heat (around 350°F/175°C). If using a charcoal grill, prepare it for indirect grilling.

Marinate the Chicken: In a large bowl, combine the BBQ sauce, honey, Dijon mustard, apple cider vinegar, smoked paprika, garlic powder, onion powder, cayenne pepper, salt, and black pepper. Whisk until well blended.

Coat the Drumsticks: Add the chicken drumsticks to the bowl and toss them in the marinade until they are thoroughly coated. For best results, cover and refrigerate for at least 30 minutes or up to 4 hours to marinate.

Grilling: Remove the chicken from the marinade, shaking off any excess. Reserve the marinade for later basting. Place the drumsticks on the preheated grill. Grill for about 20-25 minutes, turning occasionally.

Baste with Marinade: In the last 5-10 minutes of grilling, use a brush to baste the drumsticks with the reserved marinade. Make sure the internal temperature of the chicken reaches 165°F (75°C).

Rest and Serve: Once cooked, remove the drumsticks from the grill and let them rest for 5 minutes to allow the juices to redistribute. Garnish with fresh chopped parsley before serving.
