Ingredients

1 lb (450g) flank steak, thinly sliced

1 large bell pepper (red, yellow, or green), sliced

1 medium onion, sliced

3 cloves garlic, minced

2 cups cooked jasmine or basmati rice

2 tablespoons soy sauce

1 tablespoon oyster sauce

1 tablespoon sesame oil

1 tablespoon vegetable oil

1 teaspoon ginger, grated

Salt and pepper to taste

Green onions, chopped (for garnish)

Sesame seeds (for garnish)

Instructions

Marinate the Beef: In a bowl, combine the sliced flank steak with soy sauce, oyster sauce, sesame oil, grated ginger, salt, and pepper. Let it marinate for at least 15 minutes while you prepare the vegetables.

Sauté Vegetables: Heat a large skillet or wok over medium-high heat and add the vegetable oil. Once hot, add the minced garlic and sliced onion. Sauté for about 2-3 minutes until fragrant.

Add Bell Peppers: Toss in the sliced bell pepper and continue to stir-fry for an additional 3-4 minutes until they are tender-crisp. Remove the vegetables from the skillet and set aside.

Cook the Beef: In the same skillet, add the marinated beef in a single layer. Cook for about 3-4 minutes until browned on one side, then flip and cook for another 2-3 minutes until the beef is cooked through.

Combine: Return the sautéed vegetables to the skillet with the beef. Stir everything to combine and heat through. Adjust seasoning with additional salt and pepper if necessary.

Assemble the Bowl: Place a generous scoop of cooked rice in a bowl. Top it with the beef and pepper mixture.

Garnish: Sprinkle with chopped green onions and sesame seeds for the finishing touch.
