Ingredients

2 cups Bisquick mix

1 cup sour cream

1 cup lemon-lime soda (like 7 Up)

1/2 cup unsalted butter, melted

1/4 cup granulated sugar

1 tablespoon lemon zest (optional)

1 teaspoon vanilla extract (optional)

1/2 teaspoon baking soda (optional, for extra fluffiness)

Pinch of salt

Instructions

Preheat your oven to 375°F (190°C). Grease a 9x13 inch baking dish or line it with parchment paper.

In a large mixing bowl, combine the Bisquick mix, sugar, and salt.

In a separate bowl, whisk together the sour cream, lemon-lime soda, melted butter, lemon zest, and vanilla extract until well combined.

Gradually add the wet mixture into the dry mixture, stirring gently until just combined. Do not overmix; some lumps are okay.

If using, gently fold in the baking soda for extra fluffiness.

Pour the mixture evenly into the prepared baking dish and spread it out gently with a spatula.

Bake in the preheated oven for 25-30 minutes, or until the top is golden brown and a toothpick inserted in the center comes out clean.

Once baked, allow it to cool for about 10 minutes before slicing and serving.
