Ingredients
  

1 package (8 oz) crescent roll dough

8 breakfast sausages (links or mini sausages)

1 cup shredded cheddar cheese

1/2 teaspoon garlic powder

1/2 teaspoon paprika

1 egg (for egg wash)

1 tablespoon milk

Fresh chives or parsley (for garnish)

Optional: spicy mustard or maple syrup for dipping

Instructions
 

Preheat your oven to 375°F (190°C). Line a baking sheet with parchment paper.

    In a mixing bowl, combine the shredded cheddar cheese, garlic powder, and paprika; mix well and set aside.

      Unroll the crescent roll dough and separate it into triangles along the perforated lines.

        Place a small amount of the cheese mixture on the wider end of each triangle.

          Place a breakfast sausage on top of the cheese.

            Roll the dough around the sausage, starting from the wide end and tucking in the sides as you roll, ensuring the cheese is wrapped inside.

              In a small bowl, whisk together the egg and milk for the egg wash. Brush this mixture over each rolled sausage to give it a nice golden finish.

                Place the wrapped sausages seam-side down on the prepared baking sheet.

                  Bake in the preheated oven for 12-15 minutes, or until golden brown and cooked through.

                    Remove from the oven and let cool slightly. Garnish with chopped fresh chives or parsley.

                      Serve warm with spicy mustard or maple syrup for dipping.
