Ingredients

4 flounder fillets (about 6 ounces each)

4 tablespoons unsalted butter, melted

5 cloves garlic, minced

2 tablespoons fresh parsley, chopped

1 tablespoon fresh lemon juice

1 teaspoon lemon zest

1 teaspoon salt

½ teaspoon black pepper

½ teaspoon paprika

Lemon wedges, for serving

Instructions

Preheat the Oven: Preheat your oven to 400°F (200°C).

Prepare the Baking Dish: Lightly grease a baking dish with cooking spray or a bit of butter to prevent sticking.

Make the Garlic Butter Mixture: In a mixing bowl, combine the melted butter, minced garlic, chopped parsley, lemon juice, lemon zest, salt, black pepper, and paprika. Mix until well blended.

Arrange the Flounder: Place the flounder fillets in the greased baking dish, skin side down.

Baste the Fish: Pour half of the garlic butter mixture over the fillets, ensuring they’re well coated. Reserve the other half for later.

Bake the Flounder: Place the baking dish in the preheated oven and bake for 12-15 minutes, or until the flounder is cooked through and flakes easily with a fork.

Finish with Garlic Butter: After removing the dish from the oven, drizzle the reserved garlic butter mixture over the flounder, allowing it to soak into the fish.

Garnish and Serve: Garnish with additional chopped parsley and lemon wedges. Serve immediately alongside your choice of sides, like roasted vegetables or a fresh salad.
