Ingredients

For the Cake:

1 box yellow cake mix

3 large eggs

1 cup water

1/2 cup unsalted butter, melted

1 tsp vanilla extract

For the Praline Filling:

1 cup sweetened condensed milk

1/2 cup packed brown sugar

1/2 cup pecans, chopped

1/4 cup unsalted butter

1 tsp vanilla extract

For the Whipped Topping:

1 cup heavy cream

1/4 cup powdered sugar

1 tsp vanilla extract

1/2 cup pecans, toasted and chopped for garnish

Instructions

Bake the Cake:

    - Preheat the oven to 350°F (175°C).

      - In a large mixing bowl, combine the cake mix, eggs, water, melted butter, and vanilla extract. Mix until well combined and smooth.

        - Pour the batter into a greased 9x13 inch baking pan. Bake according to package instructions, usually about 25-30 minutes or until a toothpick inserted in the center comes out clean.

          Create Poke Holes:

            - Once the cake is baked and has cooled for about 10 minutes, use the handle of a wooden spoon to poke holes all over the cake (about 1-inch apart).

              Prepare the Praline Filling:

                - In a medium saucepan over medium heat, combine the sweetened condensed milk, brown sugar, chopped pecans, butter, and vanilla extract. Cook, stirring regularly, until the mixture is thickened and bubbly, about 5 minutes.

                  - Pour the warm praline filling over the poke holes in the cake, ensuring it seeps into all the holes. Allow the cake to cool completely.

                    Make the Whipped Topping:

                      - In a large mixing bowl, beat the heavy cream, powdered sugar, and vanilla extract with an electric mixer until stiff peaks form.

                        - Spread the whipped topping evenly over the cooled cake.

                          Garnish:

                            - Sprinkle the toasted pecans on top of the whipped topping for added crunch and flavor.

                              Chill and Serve:

                                - Refrigerate the cake for at least 2 hours to allow the flavors to meld before slicing and serving. Enjoy your delicious Butter Pecan Praline Poke Cake!
