1 cup unsalted butter, melted

1 cup brown sugar, packed

1/2 cup granulated sugar

1 teaspoon vanilla extract

2 cups all-purpose flour

1 cup rolled oats

1 teaspoon baking soda

1/2 teaspoon salt

1 cup crushed Butterfinger candy bars (about 4-5 bars)

1 cup caramel sauce (store-bought or homemade)

1 cup semi-sweet chocolate chips

Optional: extra crushed Butterfinger for topping

Preheat the Oven: Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C). Grease a 9x13 inch baking dish or line it with parchment paper.

    Prepare the Base: In a large mixing bowl, combine the melted butter, brown sugar, granulated sugar, and vanilla extract. Stir until the mixture is smooth.

      Mix Dry Ingredients: In another bowl, whisk together the flour, oats, baking soda, and salt. Gradually add the dry ingredients to the wet ingredients, mixing until just combined.

        Add Butterfingers: Fold in the crushed Butterfinger candy bars until evenly distributed throughout the batter.

          Bake the Base: Spread half of the mixture into the prepared baking dish, pressing it down evenly. Bake for 10-12 minutes until the edges are slightly golden.

            Add Caramel: Remove from the oven and immediately drizzle half of the caramel sauce over the baked layer.

              Add Second Layer: Carefully crumble the remaining mixture over the caramel layer, trying to cover it as evenly as possible.

                Bake Again: Return to the oven and bake for an additional 15-18 minutes or until the edges are golden brown and the top is set.
