Ingredients

1 lb pizza dough (store-bought or homemade)

4 tablespoons unsalted butter, melted

4 cloves garlic, minced

1 teaspoon dried Italian seasoning

1/4 teaspoon red pepper flakes (optional)

1/4 cup freshly grated Parmesan cheese

1/4 cup fresh parsley, chopped

Salt to taste

Instructions

Preheat the Oven: Preheat your oven to 400°F (200°C) and line a baking sheet with parchment paper.

Prepare Dough: On a lightly floured surface, roll out the pizza dough into a rectangle about 1/2 inch thick. Cut the dough into 1-inch wide strips.

Knot the Dough: Take each strip and tie it into a knot. Place the knots onto the prepared baking sheet, leaving some space between each one.

Garlic Butter Mixture: In a small bowl, combine the melted butter, minced garlic, dried Italian seasoning, and red pepper flakes. Mix well.

Brush Knots: Using a pastry brush, generously brush each knot with the garlic butter mixture, ensuring they are fully coated.

Bake: Bake the knots in the preheated oven for about 15-20 minutes, or until they are golden brown.

Toss with Toppings: Remove from the oven and immediately brush the knots again with any remaining garlic butter. Sprinkle with grated Parmesan cheese, chopped parsley, and a sprinkle of salt.

Serve: Allow them to cool slightly, then serve warm as an irresistible appetizer or side dish!
