Ingredients

1 pound (450g) fresh mushrooms (button or cremini), cleaned and trimmed

4 tablespoons unsalted butter

3 cloves garlic, minced

1 tablespoon fresh rosemary, chopped

1 tablespoon fresh thyme, chopped

1 tablespoon fresh parsley, chopped

Salt and pepper, to taste

1 teaspoon lemon juice (optional)

Grated Parmesan cheese (for garnish, optional)

Instructions

Prep the Mushrooms: If using large mushrooms, slice them in half. Leave smaller ones whole for an attractive presentation.

Melt the Butter: In a large skillet, melt the butter over medium heat until bubbly and fragrant.

Sauté Garlic: Add the minced garlic to the skillet and sauté for about 30 seconds, being careful not to let it brown.

Cook the Mushrooms: Add the mushrooms to the skillet, stirring to coat them in the garlic butter. Sauté for about 5-7 minutes until the mushrooms are tender and golden brown.

Add Herbs: Sprinkle in the chopped rosemary, thyme, and parsley. Stir well to mix and cook for an additional 2 minutes.

Season: Season the mushrooms with salt, pepper, and lemon juice (if using). Give them a final stir to combine all flavors.

Serve: Remove from heat and transfer to a serving dish. If desired, top with grated Parmesan cheese for added flavor. Enjoy!
