Ingredients

2 cups shredded cheddar cheese

1 cup cream cheese, softened

1 cup breadcrumbs

1/2 cup grated Parmesan cheese

2 green onions, finely chopped

1 teaspoon garlic powder

1 teaspoon onion powder

1/2 teaspoon cayenne pepper (adjust to taste)

Salt and pepper to taste

1/4 cup fresh parsley, chopped

Oil for frying (vegetable or canola)

Instructions

Preparation of the Cheese Mixture: In a large mixing bowl, combine the shredded cheddar cheese, softened cream cheese, grated Parmesan cheese, and chopped green onions. Mix well until all the ingredients are integrated smoothly.

Seasoning the Mixture: Add the garlic powder, onion powder, cayenne pepper, salt, and pepper. Incorporate the spices thoroughly into the cheese mixture. You can adjust the cayenne pepper according to your heat preference.

Forming the Balls: Take small portions of the cheese mixture (about 1 tablespoon each) and roll them into balls. Place them on a wax paper-lined baking sheet.

Coating: Once all the cheese balls are rolled out, roll each one in the breadcrumbs to coat evenly. This will give them a crispy texture once fried.

Chilling: For better results, place the coated cheese balls in the refrigerator for at least 30 minutes. This helps them firm up and prevents them from breaking apart while frying.

Frying the Cheese Balls: Heat oil in a deep skillet or frying pan over medium heat. Once the oil is hot (around 350°F / 175°C), carefully add a few cheese balls at a time into the oil. Fry them for about 3-4 minutes or until they are golden brown.

Draining: After frying, use a slotted spoon to remove the cheese balls and transfer them onto paper towels to drain excess oil.

Garnishing: Sprinkle the fried cheese balls with chopped fresh parsley for a pop of color and added flavor.

Serving: Serve warm as an appetizer or snack with your favorite dipping sauce such as marinara, ranch, or a spicy aioli.

                    Prep Time: 20 minutes | Total Time: 1 hour | Servings: 4-6
