Ingredients

2 cans (8 oz each) crescent roll dough

16 oz cream cheese, softened

1 cup granulated sugar

1 tsp vanilla extract

2 large eggs

1/2 cup sour cream

1/4 cup powdered sugar (for dusting)

1 tsp lemon zest (optional)

Fresh berries (for topping, optional)

Instructions

Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C).

In a medium mixing bowl, beat together the softened cream cheese, granulated sugar, and vanilla extract until smooth and creamy.

Add eggs one at a time, mixing well after each addition. If using, stir in the lemon zest and sour cream until fully incorporated.

Unroll one can of crescent roll dough and lay it at the bottom of a greased 9x13 inch casserole dish, pressing the seams together to create a cohesive layer.

Pour half of the cheesecake mixture evenly over the crescent roll layer.

Unroll the second can of crescent roll dough and place it over the cheesecake layer, again pressing the seams together.

Pour the remaining cheesecake mixture on top of the second crescent layer, spreading it evenly.

Bake in the preheated oven for 30-35 minutes or until the top is golden brown and the cheesecake is set.

Once baked, remove from the oven and let it cool for at least 15 minutes before slicing.

Dust with powdered sugar and top with fresh berries if desired before serving.
