Ingredients

12 oz linguine pasta

1 lb ground beef

4 tbsp unsalted butter

4 cloves garlic, minced

1 cup heavy cream

1 cup shredded mozzarella cheese

½ cup grated Parmesan cheese

1 tsp Italian seasoning

½ tsp red pepper flakes (optional)

Salt and pepper to taste

Fresh parsley, chopped (for garnish)

Instructions

Cook the Linguine: In a large pot of salted boiling water, cook the linguine according to package instructions until al dente. Drain and set aside, reserving about 1 cup of pasta water.

Brown the Beef: In a large skillet over medium-high heat, add the ground beef. Season with salt and pepper. Cook until browned and fully cooked, breaking it apart with a spatula, about 5-7 minutes. Drain excess fat if necessary.

Add Garlic: Add the minced garlic to the skillet with the beef and cook for an additional 1-2 minutes, until fragrant.

Create the Sauce: Lower the heat to medium. Add the butter to the skillet with the beef and allow it to melt. Stir in the heavy cream, Italian seasoning, and red pepper flakes (if using). Bring to a simmer.

Incorporate the Cheese: Gradually whisk in the mozzarella and Parmesan cheese until fully melted and creamy. If the sauce is too thick, add reserved pasta water a little at a time until desired consistency is reached.

Combine Pasta and Sauce: Toss the cooked linguine into the skillet, ensuring the pasta is well coated with the cheese sauce. Allow to cook together for another 2-3 minutes, adjusting seasoning with salt and pepper.

Serve: Plate the cheesy garlic butter linguine and garnish with freshly chopped parsley. Serve hot and enjoy your deliciously rich and savory meal!
