Ingredients

1 can of refrigerated crescent roll dough

8 oz cream cheese, softened

1/4 cup granulated sugar

1 tsp vanilla extract

1/4 cup cherry pie filling

1 egg, beaten (for egg wash)

Powdered sugar (for dusting, optional)

Fresh cherries (for garnish, optional)

Instructions

Preheat your oven to 375°F (190°C) and line a baking sheet with parchment paper.

In a medium bowl, beat together the softened cream cheese, granulated sugar, and vanilla extract until smooth and creamy.

Unroll the crescent roll dough and separate it into triangles along the perforations.

Place about 1 tablespoon of the cream cheese mixture at the wide end of each triangle. Top the cream cheese mixture with a teaspoon of cherry pie filling.

Gently roll up each triangle starting from the wide end and tuck the points in to secure the filling.

Place the rolled crescent bites on the prepared baking sheet, leaving some space between each one.

Brush the tops of the bites with the beaten egg for a lovely golden finish.

Bake in the preheated oven for 12-15 minutes or until golden brown and puffed.

Allow them to cool slightly before dusting with powdered sugar if desired. Serve warm or at room temperature, garnished with fresh cherries.
