Ingredients

1 lb ground chicken

1 cup breadcrumbs (Italian seasoned)

1/2 cup grated Parmesan cheese

1/2 cup shredded mozzarella cheese

1/4 cup fresh basil, chopped

2 cloves garlic, minced

1 large egg, beaten

1 cup marinara sauce (plus extra for serving)

12 slider buns

2 tablespoons olive oil

Salt and pepper, to taste

Fresh basil leaves, for garnish

Instructions

Preheat the Oven: Preheat your oven to 375°F (190°C).

Mix the Chicken Mixture: In a large mixing bowl, combine the ground chicken, breadcrumbs, grated Parmesan cheese, shredded mozzarella, chopped fresh basil, minced garlic, beaten egg, salt, and pepper. Mix until all ingredients are evenly incorporated.

Shape the Patties: Divide the mixture into 12 equal portions and shape them into small patties that will fit your slider buns.

Cook the Patties: Heat olive oil in a skillet over medium heat. Cook the chicken patties for about 4-5 minutes on each side, or until they are golden brown and cooked through. You may need to do this in batches.

Assemble the Sliders: On the bottom half of each slider bun, spread a spoonful of marinara sauce. Place a cooked chicken patty on top, add another spoonful of marinara sauce, and sprinkle with additional mozzarella cheese.

Bake the Sliders: Place the assembled sliders on a baking sheet and cover them with aluminum foil. Bake in the preheated oven for 10 minutes. After 10 minutes, remove the foil and bake for an additional 5 minutes, or until the cheese is bubbly and golden.

Serve: Once baked, remove from the oven and garnish with fresh basil leaves. Serve the sliders with extra marinara sauce on the side for dipping.
