Ingredients

2 cups fresh strawberries, hulled and sliced

1 cup semi-sweet chocolate chips

2 cups heavy whipping cream

1/2 cup powdered sugar

1 teaspoon vanilla extract

1 package (10 oz) brownie bites (store-bought or homemade)

1 cup chocolate pudding (homemade or store-bought)

Fresh mint leaves (for garnish, optional)

Instructions

Prepare the Strawberries: Toss the sliced strawberries with a little bit of powdered sugar (about 1 tablespoon) and set aside. This helps to draw out their juices and enhance their sweetness.

Melt the Chocolate: In a microwave-safe bowl, melt the chocolate chips in 30-second intervals, stirring in between, until smooth. Allow to cool slightly.

Whip the Cream: In a large mixing bowl, combine the heavy whipping cream, powdered sugar, and vanilla extract. Using an electric mixer, beat on medium-high speed until soft peaks form.

        Assemble the Trifle:

          - In a large glass trifle dish or individual serving glasses, layer the ingredients.

            - Start with a layer of brownie bites at the bottom. Press them down gently.

              - Add a layer of chocolate pudding, followed by a layer of the whipped cream.

                - Sprinkle a layer of the sliced strawberries on top.

                  - Drizzle a layer of melted chocolate over the strawberries.

                    - Repeat the layers (brownies, pudding, whipped cream, strawberries, and chocolate) until the dish is filled, finishing with a generous layer of whipped cream and a drizzle of chocolate on top.

Chill and Serve: Refrigerate the trifle for at least 2 hours to allow the flavors to mingle and the dessert to set. Before serving, garnish with fresh mint leaves for a pop of color.
