Chocolate Peanut Butter Protein Balls

1 cup rolled oats

1/2 cup natural peanut butter (smooth or crunchy)

1/4 cup honey or maple syrup

1/4 cup chocolate protein powder

1/4 cup mini chocolate chips (plus extra for rolling, if desired)

1/4 cup ground flaxseed (optional for extra fiber)

1/2 teaspoon vanilla extract

A pinch of sea salt

Mix the Dry Ingredients: In a large mixing bowl, combine the rolled oats, chocolate protein powder, ground flaxseed, and sea salt. Stir until well blended.

    Add Wet Ingredients: In a separate bowl, mix the peanut butter, honey (or maple syrup), and vanilla extract. Stir until smooth and fully combined.

      Combine Mixtures: Pour the wet mixture into the dry ingredients and mix well. The dough should be thick and cohesive. Add the mini chocolate chips to the mixture and fold them in gently.

        Form Balls: Using your hands, scoop out about 1 tablespoon of the dough and roll it into a ball. If you want extra chocolate chips on the outside, roll the balls in a small bowl of mini chocolate chips.

          Chill: Place the protein balls on a baking sheet lined with parchment paper. Once you've formed all the balls, refrigerate them for at least 30 minutes to let them firm up.

            Store & Enjoy: After chilling, you can store the protein balls in an airtight container in the refrigerator for up to 1 week or freeze them for up to a month.
