Ingredients
  

1 cup of water

1 cinnamon stick (or 1 teaspoon ground cinnamon)

1 tablespoon raw honey (or to taste)

1 tablespoon fresh lemon juice

A pinch of cayenne pepper (optional, for extra warmth)

1 slice of fresh ginger (optional)

Lemon slices for garnish (optional)

Instructions
 

In a small saucepan, bring the cup of water to a boil over medium heat.

    Once the water is boiling, add the cinnamon stick (or ground cinnamon) and fresh ginger slice if using. Reduce heat and let simmer for about 5 minutes, allowing the flavors to meld.

      Remove the saucepan from heat and strain the liquid into a mug, discarding the cinnamon stick and ginger slice.

        Stir in the raw honey and fresh lemon juice until fully dissolved.

          If desired, add a pinch of cayenne pepper for an extra kick.

            Garnish with lemon slices and enjoy while warm.
