Ingredients

For the Cake:

1 box yellow cake mix

1 cup sour cream

1/4 cup vegetable oil

4 large eggs

1 teaspoon vanilla extract

1 teaspoon almond extract

For the Cinnamon Swirl:

1/2 cup packed brown sugar

1 tablespoon ground cinnamon

1 cup chopped pecans (optional)

For the Glaze:

1 cup powdered sugar

2-3 tablespoons milk

1/2 teaspoon vanilla extract

Instructions

Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C). Grease and flour a 10-inch bundt pan.

In a large mixing bowl, combine the yellow cake mix, sour cream, vegetable oil, eggs, vanilla extract, and almond extract. Mix with an electric mixer on medium speed until well combined, about 2-3 minutes.

In a separate bowl, mix together the brown sugar, cinnamon, and chopped pecans if using. This will be your filling.

Pour half of the cake batter into the prepared bundt pan. Carefully sprinkle the cinnamon mixture evenly over the batter. Pour the remaining batter on top, smoothing it out with a spatula to cover the filling.

Bake in the preheated oven for 45-50 minutes, or until a toothpick inserted into the center comes out clean.

Once done, remove from the oven and allow the cake to cool in the pan for about 10 minutes. Then, invert the cake onto a wire rack to cool completely.

While the cake cools, prepare the glaze by whisking together the powdered sugar, milk, and vanilla extract in a small bowl until smooth. Adjust the consistency by adding more milk if necessary.

Drizzle the glaze over the cooled cake before serving.
