1 cup all-purpose flour (heat-treated for safety)

½ cup unsalted butter, softened

¾ cup brown sugar, packed

¼ cup granulated sugar

1 teaspoon vanilla extract

2 tablespoons milk (or more for desired consistency)

½ cup mini chocolate chips

Optional: crushed nuts or sprinkles for garnish

Heat Treat the Flour: Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C). Spread the flour on a baking sheet and bake for 5-10 minutes to kill any harmful bacteria. Let it cool.

    Cream the Butter and Sugars: In a mixing bowl, cream together the softened butter, brown sugar, and granulated sugar until light and fluffy.

      Add Vanilla and Milk: Stir in the vanilla extract and begin adding the milk gradually. Mix until combined—adjust the milk based on your desired dip consistency.

        Incorporate Flour: Gradually add the heat-treated flour to the mixture, stirring until fully combined and smooth.

          Fold in Chocolate Chips: Gently fold in the mini chocolate chips (and any nuts or sprinkles if desired).

            Chill (optional): For a firmer dip, chill in the refrigerator for about 30 minutes before serving, but it’s perfectly delicious at room temperature too!

              Serve: Transfer the dip to a serving bowl, garnish with additional chocolate chips, nuts, or sprinkles if desired, and serve with graham crackers, apple slices, pretzels, or your favorite dippers.
