Ingredients

1 cup warm water (110°F)

2 1/4 tsp (1 packet) active dry yeast

2 tbsp sugar

2 tbsp olive oil

3 cups all-purpose flour

1 tsp salt

1 tsp garlic powder

1/2 tsp Italian seasoning

1/4 cup unsalted butter, melted

1 cup shredded mozzarella cheese

1/4 cup grated Parmesan cheese

2 tbsp parsley, chopped (for garnish)

Instructions

Activate Yeast: In a mixing bowl, combine warm water, sugar, and active dry yeast. Let it sit for about 5-10 minutes until frothy.

Make Dough: Add olive oil to the yeast mixture, then mix in flour, salt, garlic powder, and Italian seasoning. Knead the dough on a floured surface for about 5-7 minutes until smooth and elastic.

First Rise: Place the dough in a lightly oiled bowl, cover with a damp cloth, and let it rise in a warm place for about 1 hour, or until doubled in size.

Preheat Oven: Preheat your oven to 400°F (200°C).

Shape Breadsticks: Once the dough has risen, punch it down and roll it out on a floured surface into a rectangle (about 1/2 inch thick). Cut the rectangle into strips (about 1 inch wide).

Place on Baking Sheet: Arrange the strips on a greased baking sheet. You can twist them for a fun shape if desired.

Second Rise: Cover the breadsticks lightly with a towel and let them rise for another 20-30 minutes.

Bake: Brush the melted butter over the breadsticks and sprinkle with mozzarella and Parmesan cheese on top. Bake in the preheated oven for about 15-20 minutes or until golden brown and the cheese is bubbly.

Garnish: Once out of the oven, sprinkle with chopped parsley for an extra touch of flavor. Let them cool for a few minutes before serving.
