For the Pizza Crust:

2 large flour tortillas

1 cup of shredded mozzarella cheese

1 cup of shredded cheddar cheese

For the Pizza Toppings:

1 pound ground beef (or meat substitute)

1 packet Taco seasoning (or homemade seasoning)

1/2 cup refried beans

1/2 cup diced tomatoes

1/4 cup sliced black olives (optional)

1/4 cup chopped green onions

1/2 cup sour cream

1/2 cup salsa

For Garnish:

Additional sliced green onions

Chopped cilantro (optional)

Jalapeño slices (optional)

Instructions

Preheat Your Oven: Preheat the oven to 400°F (200°C).

Prepare the Meat: In a skillet over medium heat, cook the ground beef until no longer pink. Drain excess fat. Stir in the taco seasoning and follow the package instructions (usually adding water and simmering for a few minutes). Set aside.

      Assemble the Bottom Pizza Layer:

        - On a baking sheet, lay one tortilla flat. Spread with half of the refried beans, then top with half of the seasoned meat, and a layer of diced tomatoes.

Add Cheese: Sprinkle 1/2 cup of mozzarella cheese and 1/2 cup of cheddar cheese over the toppings.

Add the Top Pizza Layer: Place a second tortilla on top. Repeat step 3 with the remaining refried beans, meat, tomatoes, and the remaining cheese.

Bake: Carefully place the baking sheet in the preheated oven and bake for 10-15 minutes, or until the cheese is bubbly and the tortillas are crispy.

Toppings and Garnish: After baking, remove the Mexican pizza from the oven. Top with salsa, a dollop of sour cream, sliced green onions, black olives, and cilantro if desired.

Slice and Serve: Cut into wedges and serve hot. Enjoy your homemade Taco Bell-style Mexican pizzas!
