1 cup boiling water

1 cup cold water

1 (15 oz) can whole cranberry sauce

1 (8 oz) can crushed pineapple, drained

1/2 cup chopped walnuts (or pecans)

1 cup mini marshmallows

1/2 cup sour cream

Fresh cranberries and mint leaves for garnish (optional)

Instructions

In a large mixing bowl, combine the cranberry-flavored gelatin with 1 cup of boiling water. Stir until the gelatin is completely dissolved.

Add 1 cup of cold water to the mixture and stir well.

Gently fold in the whole cranberry sauce, mixing until uniform.

Add the drained crushed pineapple, chopped walnuts, and mini marshmallows. Stir until all ingredients are evenly incorporated.

Pour the mixture into a Jello mold or a 9x13 inch glass dish. Refrigerate for about 4 hours, or until the salad is firm and set.

Once set, spread the sour cream evenly over the top of the Jello salad for a creamy finish.

For a festive touch, garnish with fresh cranberries and mint leaves if desired.

Cut into squares or unmold onto a serving platter. Serve chilled and enjoy!
