12 oz cheese tortellini (fresh or frozen)

1 lb boneless, skinless chicken breast, diced

2 cups broccoli florets

4 cloves garlic, minced

1 cup heavy cream

1 cup grated Parmesan cheese

2 tablespoons olive oil

1 teaspoon Italian seasoning

Salt and pepper to taste

Fresh parsley, chopped (for garnish)

Cook Tortellini: Begin by bringing a large pot of salted water to a boil. Add the tortellini and cook according to package instructions (usually around 3-5 minutes for fresh or 8-10 minutes for frozen). Drain and set aside.

    Sauté Chicken: In a large skillet, heat olive oil over medium heat. Add diced chicken and season with salt, pepper, and Italian seasoning. Cook for about 5-7 minutes, or until the chicken is cooked through and no longer pink. Remove from the skillet and set aside.

      Cook Broccoli: In the same skillet, add a little more olive oil if needed. Add the broccoli florets and sauté for about 3-4 minutes until bright green and tender-crisp. You can also add a splash of water and cover for a minute to steam them.

        Make the Sauce: Reduce the heat to medium-low. Add the minced garlic to the skillet and sauté for about 1 minute until fragrant. Next, pour in the heavy cream and stir in the grated Parmesan cheese. Continue stirring until the cheese melts and the sauce is creamy.

          Combine Ingredients: Add the cooked tortellini and chicken back into the skillet. Toss everything together to coat the tortellini and chicken in the creamy sauce. If the sauce is too thick, you can add a little pasta water to reach your desired consistency.

            Serve: Remove from heat and adjust seasoning with salt and pepper if needed. Garnish with chopped parsley before serving.
