Ingredients

1 lb large shrimp, peeled and deveined

4 tablespoons unsalted butter

4 cloves garlic, minced

1 cup heavy cream

1 cup grated Parmesan cheese

1 teaspoon Italian seasoning

Salt and pepper, to taste

2 tablespoons fresh parsley, chopped (for garnish)

Juice of half a lemon

8 oz spaghetti or choice of pasta

Instructions

Cook the Pasta: Begin by cooking the spaghetti according to the package instructions until al dente. Drain and set aside, reserving about ½ cup of pasta water.

Sauté the Shrimp: In a large skillet, melt 2 tablespoons of butter over medium-high heat. Add the shrimp and season with salt and pepper. Cook for about 2-3 minutes on each side until they turn pink and opaque. Remove the shrimp from the skillet and set aside.

Prepare the Garlic Sauce: In the same skillet, melt the remaining 2 tablespoons of butter. Add the minced garlic and sauté for about 1 minute until fragrant, being careful not to burn it.

Add Cream and Cheese: Pour in the heavy cream and stir in the Parmesan cheese, allowing it to melt and create a creamy sauce. Add Italian seasoning, lemon juice, and additional salt and pepper to taste. If the sauce is too thick, add a splash of the reserved pasta water.

Combine: Return the cooked shrimp to the skillet and toss to coat them in the creamy garlic sauce. Add the cooked pasta and mix thoroughly until all ingredients are well combined.

Garnish and Serve: Remove from heat and garnish with freshly chopped parsley. Serve immediately, and enjoy your creamy garlic shrimp over pasta!
