Ingredients

20 jumbo pasta shells

1 pound ground beef

1 cup ricotta cheese

1 cup shredded mozzarella cheese

1 cup grated Parmesan cheese

1 egg

2 cups marinara sauce

2 cloves garlic, minced

1 teaspoon dried oregano

1 teaspoon dried basil

Salt and pepper to taste

Fresh parsley, chopped (for garnish)

Instructions

Preheat the oven to 375°F (190°C).

Cook the pasta shells: In a large pot of salted boiling water, cook the jumbo pasta shells according to package instructions until al dente. Drain and set aside to cool.

Prepare the beef filling: In a large skillet over medium heat, sauté the minced garlic until fragrant (about 1 minute). Add the ground beef, breaking it up as it cooks, until browned and cooked through (about 5-7 minutes). Drain excess fat.

Combine the filling: In a mixing bowl, combine the cooked beef, ricotta cheese, half of the mozzarella cheese, half of the Parmesan cheese, the egg, oregano, basil, salt, and pepper. Mix until well combined.

Stuff the shells: Carefully spoon the beef and ricotta mixture into each cooked pasta shell. Place the stuffed shells in a greased baking dish.

Add marinara sauce: Pour the marinara sauce over the stuffed shells, ensuring they are well covered. Sprinkle the remaining mozzarella and Parmesan cheese on top.

Bake: Cover the baking dish with foil and bake in the preheated oven for 20 minutes. Remove the foil and bake for an additional 10-15 minutes, or until the cheese is bubbly and golden.

Garnish and serve: Let the dish cool for a few minutes before garnishing with fresh chopped parsley. Serve warm and enjoy!
