Ingredients
  

8 oz. fettuccine or linguine pasta

1 lb. large shrimp, peeled and deveined

2 tbsp olive oil

4 cloves garlic, minced

1 cup heavy cream

1 cup cherry tomatoes, halved

1/2 cup grated Parmesan cheese

1/4 cup fresh basil, chopped

Salt and pepper to taste

Red pepper flakes (optional, for heat)

Instructions
 

Bring a large pot of salted water to a boil. Add the fettuccine and cook according to package instructions until al dente. Drain and set aside, reserving about 1/2 cup of pasta water.

    In a large skillet, heat olive oil over medium heat. Add the minced garlic and sauté for about 1 minute until fragrant.

      Add the shrimp to the skillet, season with salt, pepper, and red pepper flakes (if using). Cook for 2-3 minutes on each side until the shrimp turn pink and opaque. Remove and set aside.

        In the same skillet, add the heavy cream and bring it to a gentle simmer. Stir in the cherry tomatoes and let them cook for about 3-4 minutes until they slightly soften.

          Lower the heat and add the cooked pasta, shrimp, and Parmesan cheese to the skillet. Toss everything together, adding reserved pasta water a little at a time until you achieve your desired creamy consistency.

            Stir in the fresh basil and adjust seasoning if necessary. Serve hot, garnished with extra Parmesan and basil if desired.
