Crispy Garlic Parmesan Brussels Sprouts

1 lb Brussels sprouts, halved

3 tablespoons olive oil

4 cloves garlic, minced

1 teaspoon sea salt

1/2 teaspoon black pepper

1/2 teaspoon crushed red pepper flakes (optional)

1/2 cup grated Parmesan cheese

2 tablespoons balsamic vinegar

Fresh parsley, chopped for garnish (optional)

Instructions
 

Preheat your oven to 400°F (200°C). Line a large baking sheet with parchment paper for easy cleanup.

    In a large bowl, combine the halved Brussels sprouts, olive oil, minced garlic, sea salt, black pepper, and crushed red pepper flakes (if using). Toss well to coat all the Brussels sprouts evenly.

      Spread the seasoned Brussels sprouts in a single layer on the prepared baking sheet, making sure they are not overcrowded for optimal crispiness.

        Roast in the preheated oven for 20 minutes, then remove the baking sheet and sprinkle the grated Parmesan cheese over the Brussels sprouts.

          Return to the oven and roast for an additional 10 minutes, or until the Brussels sprouts are golden brown and crispy, and the cheese is melted and bubbly.

            Drizzle the balsamic vinegar over the crispy sprouts as soon as they come out of the oven, and toss gently to combine.

              Transfer to a serving platter, garnish with chopped parsley if desired, and serve immediately to enjoy their crispy goodness!
