Ingredients

2 cups all-purpose flour

2 tablespoons sugar

1 tablespoon baking powder

1/2 teaspoon salt

2 large eggs

1 3/4 cups milk

1/2 cup vegetable oil

1 teaspoon vanilla extract

Cooking spray

Optional: powdered sugar, maple syrup, or chocolate sauce for drizzling

Instructions

In a large mixing bowl, whisk together the flour, sugar, baking powder, and salt until well combined.

In another bowl, beat the eggs, then whisk in the milk, vegetable oil, and vanilla extract until smooth.

Pour the wet ingredients into the dry ingredients and mix until just combined. Be careful not to overmix; a few lumps are okay.

Preheat your waffle iron according to the manufacturer's instructions and lightly coat it with cooking spray.

Pour the batter onto the preheated waffle iron, close the lid, and cook until the waffles are golden brown and crispy (about 5-7 minutes).

Carefully remove the waffles from the iron and let them cool slightly. Once cool enough to handle, cut them into stick-shaped pieces.

For extra crispiness, return the waffle sticks to the waffle iron for an additional 1-2 minutes if desired.

Serve warm, dusted with powdered sugar, or drizzled with maple syrup or chocolate sauce. Enjoy!
