Crunchy Sesame Crusted Cauliflower Bites

Ingredients
  

1 medium cauliflower head, cut into bite-sized florets

1 cup panko breadcrumbs

1/2 cup sesame seeds (white and black for color contrast)

1/2 cup all-purpose flour

1 teaspoon garlic powder

1 teaspoon onion powder

1 teaspoon paprika

1/2 teaspoon salt

1/4 teaspoon black pepper

2 large eggs, beaten

1 tablespoon soy sauce

1 tablespoon sesame oil

2 green onions, finely chopped (for garnish)

Optional: Sweet chili sauce for dipping

Instructions
 

Preheat your oven to 425°F (220°C). Line a baking sheet with parchment paper for easy cleanup.

    In a shallow dish, combine the panko breadcrumbs, sesame seeds, garlic powder, onion powder, paprika, salt, and black pepper. Mix well and set aside.

      In another shallow dish, whisk together the beaten eggs, soy sauce, and sesame oil until fully combined.

        In a third shallow dish, add the all-purpose flour.

          Take each cauliflower floret and dip it first into the flour, ensuring it’s fully coated. Shake off any excess flour.

            Next, dip the floured cauliflower into the egg mixture, allowing any excess to drip off.

              Finally, roll the cauliflower in the panko-sesame mixture, pressing gently to ensure it sticks well on all sides. Place the coated bites on the prepared baking sheet.

                Repeat the process with the remaining cauliflower florets until all are coated. Make sure to keep them in a single layer on the sheet for even baking.

                  Bake in the preheated oven for about 25-30 minutes or until golden brown and crispy. Flip the bites halfway through the cooking time for even crispiness.

                    Remove from the oven and let them cool for a couple of minutes. Garnish with chopped green onions.

                      Serve warm with sweet chili sauce for dipping, if desired. Enjoy your crunchy cauliflower bites!
