Ingredients

1 lb ground pork (or chicken)

1 cup minced carrots

1 cup minced green beans

1 cup shredded cabbage

1 medium onion, finely chopped

3 cloves garlic, minced

2 tablespoons soy sauce

1 tablespoon oyster sauce (optional)

1 teaspoon salt

½ teaspoon black pepper

1 pack of spring roll wrappers (about 20-30)

Oil for frying

Fresh cilantro or green onions for garnish (optional)

Instructions

In a large mixing bowl, combine the ground pork, minced carrots, green beans, cabbage, onion, and garlic.

Add soy sauce, oyster sauce (if using), salt, and black pepper to the mixture. Mix well until all ingredients are thoroughly combined.

Take a spring roll wrapper and lay it flat on a clean surface, pointing one corner toward you. Place about 1-2 tablespoons of the filling near the corner closest to you.

Fold the corner over the filling and roll it tightly once. Then fold in the sides and continue rolling until fully wrapped. Moisten the last corner with a little water to seal.

Repeat the process until all filling is used.

Heat oil in a frying pan over medium heat. Once hot, carefully add the lumpia, a few at a time, and fry until golden brown and crispy, about 3-4 minutes per side.

Remove and drain excess oil on paper towels.

Serve hot with a dipping sauce of your choice, such as sweet chili sauce or vinegar with soy sauce, and garnish with cilantro or green onions if desired.
