Ingredients

1 pound large shrimp, peeled and deveined

4 tablespoons unsalted butter

4 cloves garlic, minced

1 shallot, finely chopped

1/2 cup dry white wine

1 teaspoon red pepper flakes (adjust to taste)

1 cup heavy cream

1 cup grated Gruyère cheese

1/2 cup grated Parmesan cheese

1 cup panko breadcrumbs

2 tablespoons fresh parsley, chopped

Salt and pepper to taste

Lemon wedges for serving

Instructions

Preheat the oven to 375°F (190°C).

In a large skillet, melt the butter over medium heat. Add the minced garlic and shallots. Sauté for about 2-3 minutes until fragrant and translucent.

Add the shrimp to the skillet and cook for 2-3 minutes, until they start to turn pink. Season with salt, pepper, and red pepper flakes.

Pour in the white wine and let it simmer for 3 minutes until reduced slightly.

Stir in the heavy cream and bring the mixture to a gentle simmer. Allow it to cook for another 3-4 minutes, letting the sauce thicken.

Remove the skillet from heat and mix in the Gruyère and half of the Parmesan cheese until melted and combined.

Transfer the shrimp mixture into a greased baking dish. In a separate bowl, combine the panko breadcrumbs with the remaining Parmesan cheese and chopped parsley, mixing well.

Sprinkle the breadcrumb mixture evenly over the shrimp and cheese in the baking dish.

Bake in the preheated oven for 15-20 minutes, or until the top is golden and bubbly.

Remove from the oven and allow to cool slightly before serving. Garnish with additional parsley and serve with lemon wedges on the side.
