Ingredients
  

1 pound breakfast sausage (mild or spicy)

8 oz cream cheese, softened

1 cup shredded cheddar cheese

1 teaspoon garlic powder

1 teaspoon onion powder

1/4 teaspoon black pepper

2 cans crescent roll dough

1 egg (for egg wash)

Fresh chives, chopped (for garnish, optional)

Instructions
 

Preheat the Oven: Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C).

    Cook the Sausage: In a skillet over medium heat, cook the breakfast sausage until browned and fully cooked. Break it into small pieces as it cooks. Drain excess grease.

      Mix the Filling: In a mixing bowl, combine the cooked sausage, softened cream cheese, shredded cheddar cheese, garlic powder, onion powder, and black pepper. Mix until fully integrated and creamy.

        Roll the Crescents: Unroll the crescent roll dough and separate it into individual triangles. Place about a tablespoon of the sausage-cream cheese mixture at the wide end of each triangle.

          Shape the Crescents: Roll the triangle from the wide end to the pointy end, making sure to tuck in the sides as you roll to encase the filling. Place each crescent on a baking sheet lined with parchment paper.

            Egg Wash: In a small bowl, beat the egg. Brush the tops of the crescents with the egg wash for a golden finish.

              Bake: Bake in the preheated oven for 12-15 minutes, or until the crescents are golden brown and puffed.

                Garnish (optional): Remove from the oven and let cool slightly. Garnish with chopped chives before serving.
