Ingredients

1 package (8 oz) crescent roll dough

2 medium apples, peeled, cored, and diced (preferably Granny Smith or Honeycrisp)

1/4 cup brown sugar

1 teaspoon ground cinnamon

1 tablespoon lemon juice

1 tablespoon butter, melted

1/4 cup chopped walnuts or pecans (optional)

1 egg (for egg wash)

Powdered sugar for dusting (optional)

Instructions

Preheat your oven to 375°F (190°C) and line a baking sheet with parchment paper.

In a mixing bowl, combine the diced apples, brown sugar, cinnamon, lemon juice, and melted butter. If using, stir in the chopped nuts. Set aside.

Unroll the crescent roll dough and separate it into the individual triangles.

Place a generous spoonful of the apple mixture on the wide end of each crescent triangle.

Roll up the dough from the wide end to the point, encasing the filling and forming a crescent shape.

Place the rolled crescents on the prepared baking sheet, spacing them about 2 inches apart.

In a small bowl, beat the egg and brush it over the tops of the crescent rolls for a golden finish.

Bake in the preheated oven for 12-15 minutes or until the rolls are golden brown and flaky.

Once baked, remove from the oven and allow to cool slightly before dusting with powdered sugar if desired.

Prep Time: 10 min | Total Time: 25 min | Servings: 8 rolls
