Ingredients

4 boneless pork chops (about 1 inch thick)

Salt and pepper, to taste

1 tablespoon olive oil

1 medium onion, thinly sliced

2 cloves garlic, minced

1 cup sliced mushrooms (button or cremini)

1 cup chicken broth

1 tablespoon soy sauce

1 teaspoon dried thyme

1 tablespoon Worcestershire sauce

1 cup heavy cream

Fresh parsley, chopped (for garnish)

Instructions

Season the Pork Chops: Pat the boneless pork chops dry with paper towels. Season both sides generously with salt and pepper.

Sear the Pork Chops: In a large skillet, heat the olive oil over medium-high heat. Add the pork chops and sear for about 4-5 minutes on each side until they are browned and cooked through (internal temperature should reach 145°F). Remove the chops from the skillet and set aside on a plate.

Sauté the Vegetables: In the same skillet, add the sliced onions and cook for about 3 minutes until they start to soften. Add the minced garlic and mushrooms, and cook for another 5 minutes until the mushrooms are tender and the onions are caramelized.

Create the Sauce: Pour in the chicken broth and soy sauce, scraping up any browned bits from the bottom of the skillet. Stir in the dried thyme and Worcestershire sauce. Bring the mixture to a gentle simmer.

Add the Cream: Reduce the heat to low and carefully stir in the heavy cream, cooking for an additional 2-3 minutes until the sauce is heated through and slightly thickened. Adjust the seasoning with salt and pepper if needed.

Combine and Heat: Return the seared pork chops to the skillet, spooning the creamy sauce over them. Allow everything to simmer together for about 5 minutes so the pork can absorb the flavors.

Serve: Garnish with freshly chopped parsley before serving. Serve hot with your favorite side dishes like mashed potatoes or steamed vegetables to soak up the delicious sauce.
