Ingredients

1 cup strong brewed espresso or very strong coffee, cooled

2 tablespoons coffee liqueur (optional)

1 cup mascarpone cheese

1 cup heavy whipping cream

1/2 cup granulated sugar

1 teaspoon vanilla extract

12-15 ladyfinger cookies

Unsweetened cocoa powder, for dusting

Chocolate shavings or finely grated dark chocolate, for garnish

Instructions

In a shallow dish, combine the cooled espresso and coffee liqueur (if using). Set aside.

In a large mixing bowl, whip the heavy whipping cream until stiff peaks form. Gradually add sugar and vanilla extract while continuing to whip until well incorporated.

Gently fold in the mascarpone cheese into the whipped cream mixture until smooth and creamy. Be careful not to deflate the whipped cream.

Quickly dip each ladyfinger in the espresso mixture, ensuring they are soaked but not soggy.

In small jars or dessert cups, start with a layer of dipped ladyfingers at the bottom.

Add a generous layer of the mascarpone mixture on top of the ladyfingers.

Repeat layers until the jars are filled, finishing with a layer of the mascarpone cream on top.

Cover and refrigerate the tiramisu jars for at least 4 hours, preferably overnight for the best flavor.

Before serving, dust the top of each tiramisu jar with unsweetened cocoa powder and sprinkle with chocolate shavings or grated chocolate for garnish.
