Ingredients

1 (15 oz) can of chili (no beans)

1 cup shredded cheddar cheese

½ cup cream cheese (softened)

1 cup sour cream

1 tablespoon taco seasoning

1 cup diced jalapeños (pickled or fresh, depending on spice preference)

1 cup diced tomatoes (drained)

1 cup Fritos corn chips (plus extra for serving)

Chopped green onions for garnish (optional)

Instructions

In a medium mixing bowl, combine the softened cream cheese and sour cream until smooth and creamy.

Stir in the taco seasoning, combining thoroughly.

In a separate bowl, mix together the canned chili, diced tomatoes, and jalapeños.

Layer the cream cheese mixture at the bottom of a baking dish (8x8 works well).

Pour the chili mixture on top of the cream cheese layer, spreading evenly.

Sprinkle the shredded cheddar cheese over the top of the chili layer.

Bake in a preheated oven at 350°F (175°C) for 20 minutes or until the cheese is bubbly and golden.

Remove from the oven, let cool for a couple of minutes, and then serve warm, topped with chopped green onions and an extra sprinkle of jalapeños, if desired.

Serve alongside a bowl of Fritos for dipping or sprinkle Fritos directly into the dip for an added crunch!
