Ingredients

1 lb large shrimp, peeled and deveined

1/4 cup unsalted butter, melted

4 cloves garlic, minced

2 tablespoons fresh lemon juice

1 tablespoon fresh parsley, chopped

1 teaspoon paprika

1/2 teaspoon red pepper flakes (optional, for a kick)

Salt and pepper to taste

Skewers (metal or soaked wooden skewers)

Instructions

Prepare the Skewers: If you're using wooden skewers, soak them in water for at least 30 minutes to prevent burning during cooking.

Make the Marinade: In a bowl, combine the melted butter, minced garlic, lemon juice, chopped parsley, paprika, red pepper flakes (if using), salt, and pepper. Stir until well mixed.

Marinate the Shrimp: Add the shrimp to the bowl with the marinade. Toss until the shrimp are evenly coated. Let them marinate for at least 15 minutes at room temperature (or refrigerate for up to 2 hours for deeper flavor).

Preheat the Oven: Preheat your oven to 400°F (200°C). If you prefer grilling, prepare your grill for high heat at this point.

Assemble the Skewers: Thread the marinated shrimp onto the skewers, making sure to leave a little space between each shrimp for even cooking.

            Cook the Skewers:

              - Roasting: Place the skewers on a baking sheet lined with foil or parchment paper. Roast in the preheated oven for 6-8 minutes, or until shrimp are pink and opaque.

                - Grilling: Grill the skewers over direct heat for about 3-4 minutes per side, or until shrimp are fully cooked.

Serve: Remove the skewers from the oven or grill and drizzle any remaining garlic butter marinade over the top. Garnish with extra parsley and lemon wedges for a fresh touch. Enjoy immediately!
