Ingredients

4 salmon fillets (6 oz each)

4 tablespoons unsalted butter

4 cloves garlic, minced

1 tablespoon fresh lemon juice

1 teaspoon lemon zest

1 teaspoon dried thyme

1 teaspoon dried parsley

Salt and black pepper to taste

Lemon wedges for serving

Fresh parsley for garnish

Instructions

Prepare the Garlic Butter: In a small saucepan over medium heat, melt the butter. Add the minced garlic and sauté for about 1-2 minutes until fragrant, making sure not to burn it. Remove from heat and stir in the lemon juice, lemon zest, thyme, and parsley.

Season the Salmon: Pat the salmon fillets dry with paper towels. Season both sides with salt and black pepper.

Cook the Salmon: Heat a non-stick skillet over medium-high heat. Add a tablespoon of the garlic butter mixture to the skillet. Once hot, carefully place the salmon fillets skin-side down in the skillet. Cook for 4-5 minutes until the skin is crispy, then gently flip the fillets over.

Add More Garlic Butter: Pour the remaining garlic butter over the salmon fillets. Cook for another 3-4 minutes, basting the salmon with the melted garlic butter, until the salmon is cooked through and flakes easily with a fork.

Serve: Transfer the salmon to a plate. Drizzle with the remaining garlic butter from the skillet, and garnish with fresh parsley. Serve with lemon wedges on the side.
