Ingredients

1 large round sourdough bread loaf

8 oz Brie cheese, cut into wedges

1 cup cranberry sauce (homemade or store-bought)

2 tablespoons unsalted butter, melted

3 cloves garlic, minced

2 tablespoons fresh rosemary, chopped

2 tablespoons fresh thyme, chopped

1 teaspoon salt

1/2 teaspoon black pepper

Optional: Fresh parsley for garnish

Instructions

Preheat the Oven: Preheat your oven to 375°F (190°C).

Prepare the Bread: Using a sharp bread knife, carefully cut the top off the sourdough loaf to create a “lid.” Remove the soft interior of the bread to create space for the filling. Leave about 1-inch of the crust intact for structural support.

Mix the Garlic Herb Butter: In a small bowl, combine the melted butter, minced garlic, chopped rosemary, thyme, salt, and black pepper. Stir until well combined.

Assemble the Filling: Spread half of the garlic herb butter mixture evenly over the inside of the hollowed-out sourdough loaf. Then, layer the Brie wedges into the bread, followed by spooning the cranberry sauce over the cheese.

Add More Flavor: Drizzle the remaining garlic herb butter over the cranberry sauce, ensuring even coverage.

Top it Off: Place the lid back on the bread to close it. Wrap the entire loaf in aluminum foil to keep it moist while baking.

Bake the Bread: Place the wrapped loaf in the preheated oven and bake for 25-30 minutes. This will allow the Brie to melt and for the flavors to meld together.

Finish Unwrapped: After the baking time, carefully unwrap the foil and remove the lid. Bake for an additional 10-15 minutes until the crust is crispy and golden brown.

Serve and Enjoy: Remove the bread from the oven and let it cool for a few minutes. Optionally garnish with fresh parsley before serving. Cut into wedges and serve warm as a delicious appetizer or side dish.
