Ingredients

1 cup unsalted butter

1 1/4 cups granulated sugar

1 cup packed brown sugar

1 teaspoon vanilla extract

4 large eggs

1 cup all-purpose flour

3/4 cup unsweetened cocoa powder

1 teaspoon baking powder

1/2 teaspoon salt

1 cup semi-sweet chocolate chips

1 cup sweetened shredded coconut

1 cup chopped pecans

1/2 cup caramel sauce (store-bought or homemade)

Instructions

Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C). Grease and line a 9x13-inch baking pan with parchment paper, leaving some overhang for easy removal.

In a medium saucepan, melt the butter over low heat. Once melted, remove from heat and add in the granulated sugar, brown sugar, and vanilla extract. Stir until well combined.

Add eggs one at a time, mixing thoroughly after each addition until the mixture is smooth and glossy.

In a separate bowl, whisk together the flour, cocoa powder, baking powder, and salt. Gradually add the dry ingredients to the butter-sugar mixture, stirring until just combined.

Fold in the chocolate chips, shredded coconut, and chopped pecans until evenly distributed throughout the batter.

Pour half of the brownie batter into the prepared pan, spreading it out evenly. Drizzle half of the caramel sauce over the top, then gently spread the remaining brownie batter on top of the caramel. Drizzle the rest of the caramel sauce on top.

Use a knife or toothpick to swirl the caramel lightly into the brownie batter for a marbled effect.

Bake in the preheated oven for 30-35 minutes, or until a toothpick inserted in the center comes out mostly clean (a few moist crumbs are okay).

Allow the brownies to cool in the pan for about 15 minutes, then lift them out using the parchment paper overhang. Let them cool completely on a wire rack before cutting them into squares.
