Ingredients

1 package (15.5 oz) Oreo cookies

8 oz cream cheese, softened

12 oz green candy melts or chocolate coating

1 tsp peppermint extract (optional)

Red M&M's or small red candies for decoration

Green sprinkles (for added festive touch)

Instructions

Crush the Oreos: In a food processor, pulse the Oreo cookies until finely crushed. If you don't have a food processor, you can place the cookies in a zip-top bag and crush them with a rolling pin.

Mix in Cream Cheese: In a large bowl, combine the crushed Oreos and softened cream cheese. If using, add the peppermint extract. Mix well using a spatula or your hands until fully combined.

Form Balls: Scoop out about 1 tablespoon of the mixture and roll it into a ball. Place the balls on a parchment-lined baking sheet. Continue until all the mixture is used, typically yielding around 20-24 balls.

Chill the Balls: Place the baking sheet in the refrigerator for about 30 minutes to allow the balls to firm up.

Melt the Coating: While the Oreo balls are chilling, melt the green candy melts according to package instructions in a microwave-safe bowl. Stir until smooth and completely melted.

Coat the Oreo Balls: Remove the Oreo balls from the refrigerator. One at a time, dip each ball into the melted green coating, making sure to fully cover each one. Use a fork to lift them out and let excess coating drip off before placing them back on the parchment paper.

Decorate: While the coating is still wet, place a red M&M on top of each ball and sprinkle with green sprinkles for an extra festive touch.

Set: Allow the Oreo balls to sit at room temperature or in the refrigerator until the coating is set.

Serve and Enjoy: Once the coating is hardened, your Grinch Oreo Balls are ready to serve! Enjoy them at holiday gatherings or as a festive treat!
